We’re looking for the next Great Idea to publish. Submit yours by December 31, 2010 for a chance to win a cooperative publication contract from Fearless Books!

In early 2003, unknown and unpublished author Gary Renard sent Fearless Literary Services a manuscript entitled The Disappearance of the Universe for a full critique. By late 2003, that title was cooperatively published* under the Fearless Books imprint and went on to become a metaphysical best-seller. After 25,000 copies of the Fearless edition were sold, the title was taken over by Hay House, which now has 200,000+ copies in print worldwide. And we’ve helped many other authors find their way into print through Fearless Literary Services.

We’re looking for the next Great Idea — and by Dec. 31, 2010, we think we can find it. Submit YOUR idea and if it has what it takes, it will be published under the Fearless Books imprint. (See contest rules & conditions below.)

Our usual fee for a “Great Idea Review” is $95.00. For the limited time of this contest, we’re lowering the fee to only $65.00. Even if we don’t choose your idea for publication, you’ll get a personal assessment of your entry from Fearless founder D. Patrick Miller, a veteran author, publisher, and book developer, with helpful hints about your next best step toward publication. And you’ll be entitled to a 10% discount on a Critique or Fast Assessment from Fearless Literary (maximum value: $200.00).

To get started, submit your Great Idea contest fee below. That will reserve your place in our current queue of entries. Then, send a brief description of your idea along with 5 pages (1500 words maximum) of sample writing, to info@fearlessbooks.com. We look forward to reading about your idea — and finding the next best-seller for Fearless Books!

GREAT IDEA CONTEST RULES & CONDITIONS

Between now and December 31, 2010, Fearless Books is accepting “Great Idea” submissions for consideration as book properties. One entry received during that period, showing the greatest publication and sales potential, will be chosen for a cooperative publication contract with Fearless Books. Fearless Books will develop and produce the book project on a print-on-demand basis, charging all professional fees (not to exceed $2500.00) against the Author's royalty account. No cash outlay will be required. Following publication, all profit from the project will be equally shared by the Author and Fearless Books, including any subsequent sale to another publisher. (“Publication” is defined as announcement of the title on the Fearless Books site and posting of the title for sale on Amazon.com. “Profit” refers to net revenues after production, promotion, and distribution costs. "Royalty" refers to 50% of project's net proceeds after production and distribution costs.)

All book ideas in adult fiction and nonfiction genres will be considered. Juvenile and YA (young adult) entries are not being considered for this contest. All entries not chosen for publication will receive a personal assessment from Fearless founder D. Patrick Miller, giving a brief recommendation for the next best step toward publication. Within 30 days of submission, each entrant will be informed of whether the entrant’s submission is being considered as a Finalist. Finalists may be asked to submit further material, including a proposal or full manuscript, for consideration. Finalist submissions will be held for consideration until the winning entry is chosen, no later than February 1, 2011. All entrants are entitled to a 10% discount on a Critique or Fast Assessment from Fearless Books (maximum value: $200).

Entries should consist of a brief description of a book idea in the body of an e-mail, accompanied by a 1500-word sample of writing sent either in the body of the e-mail or as a Word attachment. Confidentiality of all submitted ideas is assured. Following entry consideration and response, Fearless Books will delete all relevant records from our files by request.

For any questions regarding this competition, feel free to write us at info@fearlessbooks.com.
