STANDARD RATE: $225Fearless Books is proud to announce the revival of the FEARLESS REVIEWS, the most elegant and eloquent online format dedicated to reviews of independently published books. We’ve been online (and sometimes off) since 1998. In the summer of 2012, we announced a new review-for-fee opportunity at one of the lowest rates in the industry. (See our recent press release.)
For a limited time, you can get a Fearless Review for $195. Our reviews are focused on the qualities of honesty and helpfulness. If we think your book is wonderful we’ll say so, enthusiastically. If it’s good but could have been better, we’ll say that. Regardless of the particular opinion of your professional, veteran reviewer, his or her review will be focused on helping readers get a clear and useful idea of your book. Whenever appropriate, we’ll make suggestions for improving your work. We are not interested in criticism that discourages authors or independent publishers. Since we'd like to give entirely positive reviews, we always recommend that authors and publishers submit books that have been professionally edited, designed, and produced.
Your review will be posted within four to six weeks from the time it’s received for review. We do not charge more for faster service. If we’re running late for any reason, we’ll let you know and give you a firm date for the review posting.
The Fearless Review of your book will be featured on one of our main pages for at least six months, and often longer. It will always be posted with an “ORDER NOW” button immediately following it (linked to Amazon by default, or to any other ordering page you specify).
We will post our review to your book’s Amazon page (see past Fearless Reviews on Amazon here) and Barnes and Noble page whenever possible. It will be available for your unrestricted use on a website, book jacket, or any other publicity medium as long as it fully credits the Fearless Reviews and the particular reviewer by name.
On a regular basis, we will post and publicize a new batch of reviews by the following methods:
As time goes by, we will be extending our publicity efforts and adding new methods of outreach. Your book will benefit from these ongoing improvements, as well as a continuing presence on the well-traveled Fearless Books site. We’ve always emphasized an elegant presentation designed to increase and sustain reader interest in the books that we’re reviewing.• Direct announcement to the Fearless News opt-in mailing list of 1500
• Direct announcement to 275+ independent bookstores which appear on the Fearless Independents listing
• Direct announcement via a PRWeb press release (averaging 25,000+ web impressions and several hundred reads per release)
• Announcements on the Fearless Books Facebook page, Twitter, and outreach to other social media as appropriate
* In rare cases, we may decide not to review a book if we decide that we cannot honestly write a helpful review. Should that occur, we will notify you ASAP and refund your review fee in full.

To submit your book for review, first submit the payment fee. After an automatic receipt, you’ll receive a personal note acknowledging your payment. You can reply to that with a description of your book and any online link displaying it. We will review that information, and then let you know where to send the physical book or e-book, as our reviewers are scattered (geographically, that is) and we try to save forwarding costs by having you send your book directly to its assigned reviewer. Reviews Editor D. Patrick Miller assigns all reviews, but he will consider a request for a particular reviewer.

Books do not have to be new to be considered for the Reviews. Advance galleys are not necessary, but will be considered as long as we know the pub date, and can post an accurate cover image. We will consider e-books without a print version at the same rate. There is a limit of one review order per publisher every 90 days. We’ve always focused on books published independently, often by their authors, but larger houses are welcome to participate.
To receive updates to the Fearless Reviews, join the Fearless Books mailing list. Reviewed publishers are automatically added to the list, but may opt out at any time. We recommend that you remain on the list, however, in order to stay current with changes in the Reviews.
